Peebles 2019

New Secretary

We say farewell to Liz Anne, our valued show secretary of 7 years. She has worked tirelessly to help deliver successful events and ensured the smooth running of the show on the day as well as supporting the committee through the planning.

Liz Anne steps down with our heartfelt thanks and we look forward to welcoming her as a guest at the 2022 show.

Meanwhile, David Alcorn has accepted the position and brings his extensive expertise in delivering agricultural and sporting events to the United East Lothian Agricultural Society.

New date for 2022 Show

The last 12 months has been a challenge for everyone, in particular our farming community, who have worked hard to maintain essential supplies and services. The Haddington Show is one of Scotland’s oldest agricultural societies and we are delighted to announce that we will be showcasing the best of our agricultural sector once again on Saturday 2nd July 2022.

Hopefully by then, we will all be enjoying a return to more ‘normal’ interaction and the show will be a welcome opportunity to celebrate together.

More announcements will be posted here and on our Social Media channels.

New Look for the Haddington Show

Throughout lockdown, we’ve been working behind the scenes to refresh our brand and website.

The Haddington Show is one of Scotland’s oldest agricultural events and our logo has represented the ethos of the society for many years.

We commissioned branding experts, Our Agency, to design us a new identity that captured our values as well as our legacy. We love our new look, which has also been applied to the website, giving us a contemporary image while reflecting our heritage.

For the 2022 show, we will also be launching a new booking system via ShowBiz which will allow all class entries, vendors and ticket sales to be fulfilled online. More news will follow.

Scotland Opens Up

While the government has announced plans to begin opening up venues and allowing events to take place, we feel that it has come too late for this year’s Haddington Show. The show takes an enormous amount of organisation, with planning taking almost twelve months. Therefore, we made the decision earlier this year to once again postpone the show.

Delivering a first class event with visitors safety in mind is our focus for 2022, when the show will take place once again.

2021 Show Postponed

Once again, we have decided to postpone the Haddington Show because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The show attracts thousands of visitors and exhibitors every year and public safety must be our priority. We are busy working behind the scenes to re-establish the show next year, with plans for great entertainment, demonstrations and showcasing the best of Scottish Agriculture from across our region.

A new date for 2022 will be announced soon.
